The Long Weekend
Labour Day Long Weekend. In Algonquin Park, these are some of the most popular few days of the entire year. Summer 2021 shaped up to be the busiest in the Park’s history. Ontario Parks reported a record number of bookings for the summer season, as COVID-weary people turned to camping as an isolation-friendly vacation. And Algonquin Park, the most popular destination of them all, has seen a rush of new campers.
This documentary explores the changing landscape of one of Canada’s most famous Parks on what may well prove to be the busiest weekend in its 128-year history.
